Documentation Policy

1. What a certificate of analysis is

A certificate of analysis (COA) is a record of analytical tests performed on a specific lot of material — what was measured, by which method, and what the method found. Because results are lot-specific, a COA reflects a particular batch rather than a generic template. You can read more about how to interpret one on our Standards page.

2. Requesting documentation

Where documentation is available for a lot, we provide it on request. To request it, use the lab report request form and include the compound and the lot number printed on your material or its packaging. Providing the lot number lets us match the request to the correct batch.

3. Scope of documentation

Any analytical documentation we provide describes the physical and chemical properties of a research material for recordkeeping and reproducibility on the buyer's side. It is not a medical, health, safety, or performance claim, and it does not indicate that any material is safe or suitable for use in or on the body. Materials are supplied for laboratory research use only.

4. Availability and limits

Documentation is tied to a specific lot and to the parameters and methods actually reported for that lot. We do not advise on dosing, personal use, or the interpretation of results for any purpose outside of laboratory research. If documentation for a particular lot is not available, we will tell you.

5. Accuracy and use

We take reasonable care that documentation we provide corresponds to the lot it describes. Documentation is provided for the recipient's internal research recordkeeping and should not be altered, or presented as applying to a different lot or as a representation of fitness for any use in or on the body.
