Accessibility Statement

Our conformance target

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities. This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA: most of the site meets the standard, but some content does not yet fully conform, as described under Known limitations below.

We also work toward the accessibility expectations of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, and California's Unruh Civil Rights Act. WCAG 2.1 Level AA is the common technical benchmark we use to meet those commitments.

Measures we have taken

To make this site accessible, we have built it with the following in mind:

• Color contrast — text and meaningful interface elements are chosen to meet the AA contrast ratios against their backgrounds.
• Keyboard operability — all interactive elements can be reached and used with a keyboard alone, and a visible focus indicator shows where you are on the page.
• Logical heading order — each page uses a single main heading followed by headings in a sensible, nested order, so the structure is clear to screen readers.
• Text alternatives — informative images have descriptive alt text, and decorative images are marked so assistive technology can skip them.
• Responsive reflow and zoom — content reflows to small screens and remains readable at up to 200% zoom without loss of content or function.
• Meaningful link text — links describe their destination rather than relying on "click here."
• Reduced motion — animated and motion effects are disabled automatically when your device requests reduced motion, and no essential content depends on animation.

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some content has known limitations. We are working to address these, and we welcome your feedback:

• Lab report (COA) PDFs — certificates of analysis are produced by third-party laboratories and may be provided as scanned images rather than tagged, machine-readable PDFs. Screen readers may not be able to read these documents. If you need the information in an accessible format, use the contact form on our website and we will provide an accessible version.
• Outbound reference links — this site links to external scientific resources such as PubMed, ClinicalTrials.gov, and PubChem. The accessibility of those third-party sites is outside our control.

How we assess this site

We assess accessibility through internal review. That combines automated testing tools with manual checks, including keyboard-only navigation and screen reader testing. This statement is based on that internal self-evaluation; the site has not been evaluated by a third-party auditor.
